Buffy stuff. Open to everyone now.

Didn't watch; didn't even have a temptation to.

Forgot that it was going up against the 24 finale; I smell a bloodbath in the ratings.

You may be rambling, but I'm with you all the way. Buffy is something that was once-sweet but curdled like milk, and my response is not joy that it's died but relief. Now it can rest with all the others who were, finally, too good for it--Anya and Jonathan and (even) Cassie and Tara and Joyce.

The only place I disagree with you is in saying there had to be another way. Once Mr Whedon took the big bags of money from UPN and said "yeah, sure, we've got another two years worth of stories..." that was when there was no going back.

In my minds eye, I like to picture people all over america turning to each other and saying "Is it me...or did that really suck?" Yea, and the scales shall fall from their eyes and they shall see that they have been tricked...

Nice fantasy.

i got to be honest. i'm actually sad that the show has finally ended. i mean, buffy started when i was 12 and actually started following it when i was 15. it was one of the shows that i grew up with, the show that introduced me to willow and tara (and before that, faith). i know the dead/evil lesbian cliche was torture, but i can't help but to feel sad that there's no more buffy. i mean, it's been a habit and no matter how terrible it became, it's one of the things i find hard to let go of...

HOWEVER

i surely wouldn't miss kenny, spike's nakedness, warren's special appearances. i gues the thought of not seeing them consoles me.

Good bye and good riddance to the shit we had to endure in the last two or so seasons but this show will always have a place in my heart and mind for the wonderful things it gave us which I'm sure I don't have to remind anyone else of what those are, oh what the hell, heres a little hint, one begins with W and one begins with T.:)

BB:Hello Xander...and Anya, how is your money?!

A:Fine!Thank you for asking!

I was a fan of the show before I became a WT fan. After that happened the rest of the show became of secondary importance. WT are the only thing that made season 6 watchable for me and I stopped watching 5 minutes before Tabula Rasa ended. I have not even seen all the WT moments that followed that episode, but I will wait patiently for Xita's WT compilation videos. I will never again be able to watch old episodes entirely. I will never be able to shake the feeling of revulsion that show inspires in me now.

I am and will always be able to watch and enjoy the WT moments. I am happy about that, and I have this board to thank for that. I will never ship another relationship like I do WT, not even if Amber and Aly were to hook up together in another role (I would not mind if I were put to the test in this case). They wouldn't be Willow and Tara. I will never 'get over' WT. To me forever and always do not mean till next season or the next chick that comes skipping along.

BtVS is dead, long may it rot.

I am glad it is over, that show died more than a year ago, I don't mourn it, I don't miss it, I do regret that I am unable to like the old seasons,

DrG: I feel the same. I too was a Buffy fan before I was a W/T fan but I became disillusioned with season 5 and only kept watching for W/T. I would also add that I never want to invest in another TV show like I did with Buffy. It's not worth it. This season I haven't followed any shows after BOP was cancelled. Thanks Xita for the compilation videos.

I find that's true for me, too. I can no longer watch Buffy reruns in their entirety - I just fast-forward to the W/T parts because the rest is now meaningless. And that's actually very sad considering how much enjoyment I once got from all of Buffy.

Thanks to all the mods for keeping the spoiler/S7 section going when I'm sure you wanted to just tune it all out. That was a luxury the rest of us kittens had, but not you. Thanks again! :)

As for the end, I don't know if I'm happy because S7 still happened - all that NW stuff is still out there - but I am relieved that it's now over. In some way, it feels like we can finally move on.

I started watching in the Fourth Season around the time Oz and Veruca started messing around with each other. I fell in love with the show because of Willow. My heart went out to her after Oz cheats on her with Veruca twice. I had been hooked ever since.

Not long after this, however, Tara came onto the scene. I knew something special had happened between them in the laundry room. Even though I am straight, I saw something magnificent between them. They were the best couple, gay or straight, I had seen on TV. I started taping every episode afterwards. Season five still remains as my favorite season. Season six started off well, but "Smashed" and "Wrecked" ruined everything for me. I still kept taping the eps hoping things would get better. They did a little, but The last four eps made me disgusted. I haven't taped a single ep of season 7. I even skipped a couple of episodes(TKIM and Touched), and this was previously unthinkable for me. I am glad this show is over, and NSSK will be forgotten.

TARA WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR YEARS TO COME.

Tara: My heart doesn't stutter.

Tara: Willow, I got so lost.

Willow: I found you. I will always find you.

Well it took me long enough to finally post in the season 7 forum. Fitting I think it is as Buffy has finally and officially ended. I have to say that for me it’s bittersweet. It’s a closure of sorts for me. I feel cheated, hurt and incredibly emotionally exhausted. But I still feel I came out a winner in the end because I still have Willow and Tara and because of some incredibly great people who were strong enough to stick around I also have The Kitten board too. Thank you Xita and all your little helpers for being strong enough, when I know at times I myself knew I wasn’t. It truly is an honor to be a small part of something that has made such great difference.

Thank GOD that is over with.

May I say a big thank you to all the mods for moderating a board about a Season that sucked and that had no W/T in (apart from pain). It was great to be able to come here to vent, and to read that I wasn't the only one feeling angry and upset. Though many are expressing their disappointment with S6 & S7, no other board is like this for allowing true Kitteny rage and pain and for the W/T love.

Thank you!!!

To all the Kitties: we've survived - "Buffy" hasn't.

Gotta love this emoticon:

Hee hee, you make it sound like she's santa with her little elves. Though Warduke is a fairy, so it is sort of accurate.

At one point I have taken a two month break from this forum, because I could not read anything about that show anymore, but I came back. It is nice to be able to vent here where people know what you mean, only a few people I know offline watch Buffy, and well, they never shared my love for that show when it was good and they don't share my anger now. I want to thank everyone who provided us with all the info from interviews to ratings. It was/is most useful and informative. At least I know what I am ranting about without having to watch that show.

God, you people are evil. :cry I love that show! Well, at least I did until they killed my favorite character and appearantly all the original writers.

So ok, it didn't go out with a bang, but still.

:sob

I used to love that show.

It's Over. Thank God. I feel so much relief. I even listened to that corny Celine Dion song "A new day". That's what it feels like to me. A new day. I am determined to heal the damage that ME did to me personally. And I will watch W/T once again when I'm ready. Those bastards cannot have my memories.

I know that it has been a rough road but, as others have said, we made it. We're still standing.

I also have to thank Xita and all the kitties for just being. You guys made a bad situation bearable. Because of you I don't think anyone in this community of kittens went through their pain and/or blinding rage alone. That's huge when you really think about what it means. I'm just really proud of you guys.

These are so much more than words: Thank you. For everything. :bigkiss

I really agree with all the thankyous to all the mods. . . I found the Kitten by searching for a place that I could loathe JFK in company, and I'm glad that the season seven board was there for that. I hadn't even imagined a community where JFK never existed, but I'm sooo thankful that it exists.

Well if memory serves me right I think I read somewhere something about “Santa Xita”;) . Maybe that was just a ploy to get all the girls to sit on her lap. Damn. Why didn’t I think of that?:miff

Dr.G, I know what you mean. This was the only place that shared my joy and pain about Buffy (The Show). It took almost a year for me to be able to watch old episodes after, well you know. And that’s another thing I would like to thank Xita for, for proving us with those lovely W/T clips. I will watch those unforgettable moments and I will cherish them and I will let no one take them from me again.

everybody dances!!! It's over.

Buffy's over

Joss's over

and it's damn good!!!!

Oh god,it's been so long. I was so invested with this show. It's been so great but then it broke my heart, totally ( and sadly in so disrespectful way :spin ) I guess we all know how hurt we are about that. But still, they can't take Willow and Tara away from us.Willow and Tara will live in our loving heart forever.

The few good things that the show has done was Memories of beautiful W/T moments, Had Amber Benson/ Tara come into our heart and gave such two truly inspired charecters like Willow and Tara.

*sigh*It's fucking over now. That stupid, insulted, lie, bad influence and hypocrite show. And I don't have to put up with those shit anymore. So yeah! just go to hell with all your female empowering rubbish Joss!!!! Ha ha ha:rofl Damn! it's feel so good, baby!!!

Gezz,it's been fucking miserable.

Thanks to W/T. Give me peace.

long live their love. :tara :willow :bow

Hey, Lovely Kittens~~

Many of you have captured my sentiments exactly, so I won't be redundant or repeat myself or say the same thing over and over; I'll simply share this deliriously wonderful piece of news that I came across yesterday.

I saw the Nielson ratings for last week, and "Buffy the Shadow of Her Former Self" (or whatever that tripe called itself) finished in next-to-last place in its time slot. How poorly did it do here in the US? It finished well behind an NBC show entitled "Memorable Game Show Moments." Oh, how the mighty have fallen...

We, however, stand strong and say in unison: "Fuck with us at your own risk."
