It made me cry too, but that's because I'm a soppy mare.
She's the same old Martha, but seems more 'grown-up'. She's definitely over the Doctor. It was lovely to hear all the subtle Doctor Who references between Jack and Martha.

Couldn't happen to a better person...
So is this BBC2/BBC3 thing just a one-week deal? Does it mean we effectively don't get a new episode next week?

It's on around 7pm so much lighter in tone than TW. 'Anomalies' open up and allow prehistoric creatures into the modern day. There's a team who chase round and send them back. The team is much less dysfunctional than the Torchwood team, but just as disorganised

Feena wrote:Two episodes tonight (BBC 2 - Adam and BBC 3 - Reset).
The first had echoes of a Buffy episode, but with a Torchwood spin on it.Spoiler:
It was good to learn more about Jack's back story...actually it's good to know anything about his pre-Jack life!!
The second had a certain Doctor Martha Jones turn up! She's the same old Martha, but seems more 'grown-up'. She's definitely over the Doctor. It was lovely to hear all the subtle Doctor Who references between Jack and Martha.

I really enjoyed both of them
Just when I thought I'd run out of ways to dislike him, they throw this at us.
It's icky, it focuses too much attention on him (did Martha even need to be in the latest episode?), and it can't be sustained. What are they going to do, keep putting more bandaids on him as he keeps cutting himself or breaking his bones?
I think people may either love it or hate not - but probably not to the degree of L&M
Feena wrote:Next week looks very creepy. It's PJ Hammond's (Sapphire & Steel) episode, he also wrote Small Worlds last year (the one with the faeries). Julian Bleach is in it, he looked creepy in the trailer.Spoiler:
BBOvenGuy wrote:So I take it you mean more like The Ring than The Purple Rose of Cairo?
Small Worlds was my favorite episode last year, so that sounds very promising.
I knew they were going to die but it was still sad. Owen is finally gone (probably) but I very much doubt he would be able to get out of the place he was trapped in. I didn't want Tosh to die, but she did it well.
How long before you see it?

Feena wrote:Series Three has been confirmed but rumours vary from another thirteen episodes to a more child-friendly five episode series fronted by Gwen and Martha (but no Jack).
RTD has apparently confirmed it will be on BBC 1 rather than BBC 2. That's higher profile but there's a worry it will lose its 'edge' by being on a more mainsteam channel.
It's likely to start filming August onwards, after Doctor Who has finished.
For now, take it with a pinch of salt
Out
) Owen the last word (about Martha): "and a really crackin' arse!"

Yep, about the best thing I've seen on tv, since CSI:NY, which you can't compare to Torchwood, but well... It's awesome. Love ya british people!
