Rally, great photos!!
Depending on what you're going to do with them, here' are my choices:
#4 I like best, cause I think she's looking over at the Kittens and has such a sweet smile. That would be a great one to give to her if you have it in time for the OMWF this Saturday.(this Kitten goes "neener neener" to :joss . I love Amber, and I don't love you!!:grin But that's just me).
#3 I like second best. I think it would be for more serious purposes.
And thirdly, in order of preference, I like the one you posted cause it's got her goofy, loopy half-smile, which I have to love.Sigh.
All of the photos make me go :drool and :thud .
This woman is so amazing and darn lovable.

I liked the one I posted best, but it is a tad blurry. I am having all 5 done up and I will have to see how the prints turn out. I have never had 8x10s made from digital images yet. So a lot will depend on how those look.

I can see your point about the one you posted Rally. It's kinda wistful but still has that wonderful kinda crooked smile of hers.
I know you'll choose the best one to give to her.
I just picked the one I did as first choice cause I love Ambersmile, especially after what's been going on (the trainwreck continues).
Gosh, that woman can light up the place with her smile.Sigh.

Rally, all the photos look great. Then again, theyre photos of Amber, so how could they not look great? I guess if I had to choose, I would go with #5. She has that adorable crooked smile, and its a nice pose.

Again though #5 is blurry, you can't tell it in that version, but I knew it in the full size photos. I personally like this one best (of the 7 I had made up, excluding the blurry one), which I had made into an 8x10 but didn't post orginally.

Have you invited amber/aly to the official presentation?

While they certainly wouldn't be expected to attend it would be nice to invite them...and if there is any publicity from this they should be aware of the presentation just in case they are asked about it down the line

they might even pen a note to the trevor folks if they know about the ceremony but can't attend

Kittens,

The big press release is going out today from the Trevor Project people. They want to get it to everyone.

So keep an eye out for these and let us know where you see them. The press release is going out over the main PR wire and is also being sent to several newspapers, magazines and trade papers in particular, and quite a few websites.

Here is an official thank you letter sent to us by the Trevor Projects Excutive Director, Jorge Valencia.

home.attbi.com/~brannantim/Thankyou.pdf

Here is what Jorge had to say about the letter and the Kittens.

[quote:d6905c72ef][b:d6905c72ef][i:d6905c72ef]Quote:[/i:d6905c72ef][/b:d6905c72ef]
"Ive attached an official thank you letter, but know from the bottom of my heart that your group will always hold a special place in my heart as angels during difficult financial times."
[/quote:d6905c72ef]

He added in one other email,
"You people are life-savers!"

This what our hard work has done. It has helped a wonderful cause like the Trevor Project to continue to function and to save the lives of teens.

If they save just one life because of our $8,326, then it was worth it all.

I also extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone here. This could not have gotten done without everyone here helping. We did this.

It is not posted there yet, but I know it is out there.
Scifi did get a copy, as did many of the fandom news sites. It is really up to those indivduals running those sites if they decide to post it.

It is posted somewhere I know. Hits to the Trevor page on Kittenboard.com were up 3x the before, 4x yesterday over normal. Today we have already reached the normal daily number of hits.

So let us know if you see it anywhere. I'd like to post a link to it.

Web Warlock

the only place I've seen anything posted about the trevor project was the BB - and the poor poster who put up the info was quickly dumped all over by the "pack" that runs around that place chewing on anything that hints to being Tara and/or W/T related. My goodness that place is a pit.

anyway here is what was up there - its got a nice thanks to you WW:

wtfan says:

In Memory of Tara McClay

(with thanks to the actors who played these characters Ms Hannigan and Ms Benson)

Fans of Tara and Willow&Tara have donated $8,326.00 to The Trevor Project "to promote tolerance amoung gay and questioning teens and aid in suicide prevention."

The Trevor foundation runs the countries first toll free 24/7 suicide prevention crisis line for gay and questioning teens.

Many thanks to Web Warlock and the multitude of others who organized this effort to honor Tara and Willow&Tara.

Here is the text of the Press Release. There were a couple of minor changes which I will address.

For Immediate Release

[b:353f4f51e3] ONLINE COMMUNITY RAISES THOUSANDS FOR THE TREVOR PROJECT[/b:353f4f51e3]

October 11, 2002 In response to a recent fundraising drive in support of The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization which runs the nations only 24-hour suicide prevention hotline for gay and questioning youth, the online community has donated more than $8,000 towards the organizations life-saving work. [b:353f4f51e3] The Kitten, The Witches and The Bad Wardrobe[/b:353f4f51e3] Message Board (kittenboard.com) launched the initiative on August 1. Members of the community created as a discussion forum for fans of lesbian couple Willow and Tara on the hit television series Buffy The Vampire Slayer were spurred into action following the untimely murder of the character Tara last season.

Before the Willow and Tara relationship, gay people had no true representations of themselves on the screen, thats why for two-and-a-half years people invested enormously in the show, said xita, spokesperson for the Kitten Board. Following Taras murder, board members felt compelled to do something positive in support of the millions of young people who, in real life, continue to struggle with issues surrounding their sexuality. The response was overwhelming and we are overjoyed that we were able to make a difference by supporting the work of The Trevor Project.

About The Trevor Project . . .
The Trevor Project is a nonprofit endeavor created by the maker of the Academy Award-winning short film TREVOR to promote tolerance for gay and questioning youth and to aid in suicide prevention among that group. In 1998, the Project launched The Trevor Helpline, the first round-the-clock, national toll-free suicide prevention hotline for gay and questioning youth. The toll-free number for the Helpline is 866-4-U-TREVOR, and it is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Statistics have shown that gay teens are three times more likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual peers, and The Trevor Project strives, through its efforts of promoting tolerance, to prevent some of those tragedies from occurring.

[/quote:353f4f51e3]

The Trevor Project people a bit about Tara being a TV character. They did not want any to think that it was a real person or worse, that Amber, had been murdered.

This went out to close to 100 different PR wires and news media agents, including much of the gay press and entertainment press. Basically they tried to get everyone.

I hope that helps.

Jorge Valencia has mentioned many, many times that the Kittens are "angels" and "life savers" and that we will always hold a place of honor in the eyes and hearts of the people that run the Trevor Project.

They have their Cracked Christmas 5 coming up on December 8th where represenatives from the Kitten will be the guests of honor (including a full page thank you to us).

Buffy Fans Benefit Hotline
